Download sources and releases of GeneWeb

When updating GeneWeb, make sure that bases are properly saved to recover them in the new version. Moving mybase.gwb folders from a version to another may work, but is not guaranteed.

The last version GeneWeb v7.00 in particular isn’t backward compatible because it adds the management of events. You must inevitably extract a GeneWeb file (.gw) of your database from your old GeneWeb version and import it to the new one (do not copy/paste or move /bases directory).

* In February 2016, to maintain GeneWeb in Debian & Ubuntu, GeneWeb 6.08 has been updated for compilation with OCaml v4.02.
